Sweet Monet started to come to fruition about a year and a half ago. I’ve been baking for family and friends for several years now. My cookie craft started in 2009 when I bought a “Good Housekeeping” magazine that had a sugar cookie recipe inside. I made cookies for a couple baby showers and the holidays. Nothing over the top at the time. I continued to do this casually, until about two years ago when a friend suggested I check out some really awesome cookiers (yes, that’s a word, at least in the cookie world) on social media. My craft became an obsession. My poor husband! Over the last year and a half I have become way more serious about learning to decorate cookies with new techniques and ideas. I’ve taken so many orders from friends and family and friends of friends that this is turning into something I wasn’t expecting, but now am so grateful is coming to be! I continue to tweak my recipes and can’t get enough inspiration from fellow bakers. Follow along with me on this journey! Can’t wait to see what’s next!
